Hi! I wasn't sure how to send you a response to your question about dyeing. Melody is Fibermania (her blog). She has on her sidebar how she dyes fabric. Basically she squeezes the dye through the fabric until it seems evenly distributed, then empties it all out and lets it sit for a day, then does the wash out. I find this gives you a very even dye.
